We believe that success should be shared. In 2025, we put that belief into action as we donated circa £50,000 across multiple good causes, supporting those that reflect the values and passions of our team.
Through a combination of employee nominations, board-led initiatives, organised fundraising and profit donations, our 2025 donations supported a diverse mix of charities and associations spanning mental health, technology education, humanitarian aid, grassroots sport, and communities.
We’re proud to have supported the good causes below throughout 2025.
The Charities and Associations We Supported included:
CALM
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a leading UK charity focused on a mission to help people end misery, not their lives. Their work helps the break stigma of suicide and encourages open conversations about mental wellbeing.
Hometree
Based in Ireland, the Hometree nature restoration charity works to establish and restore resilient habitats. Their science-led approach aims to nourish the landscape and create new ways for communities to relate to nature.
Ta'alof al Khair
Ta'alof al Khair provides humanitarian aid to vulnerable communities in crisis regions. Their work includes food distribution, emergency relief, and essential welfare support.
Their work has reached Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, Somali, Burma, Syria, Lebanon and other countries with more than 10 million people benefiting from aid.
We Think Code
WeThinkCode is a leading tech education initiative in South Africa, tackling the technical skills shortage and youth unemployment. Their tuition-free coding education gives young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the skills to unlock careers in technology.
SpecialEffect
SpecialEffect uses innovative technology to help those with physical disabilities enjoy video games. Their customised controllers and accessible gaming solutions aid their mission to maximise fun and quality of life.
Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance
The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance delivers lifesaving emergency care across the region. They respond rapidly to serious incidents, often making the difference between life and death.
As a charity, they rely heavily on donations to keep flying.
British Red Cross – Gaza Appeal
For 150 years, the Red Cross has provided urgent humanitarian aid to communities in crisis. In 2025, we supported their Gaza appeal providing medical aid, emergency supplies and support for displaced families.
British Red Cross – Ukraine Appeal
Alongside the Gaza appeal, we donated to the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal. The Ukrainian Red Cross Society works to bring hope and support to those affected by conflict in the region, from distributing food parcels to treating people at Red Cross mobile health units
Marie Curie
Marie Curie delivers expert end-of-life care for people living with terminal illness. They support patients and families at home, in hospices, and over the phone.
Local clubs like this play a vital role in community development.
UNICEF
In over 190 countries, UNICEF works to protect children’s rights and wellbeing. They provide and advocate for education, health, and nutrition services alongside providing emergency aid and vaccines for life-saving hope.
Committed to giving back
Each year, 5Y is proud to support local and global initiatives. Our 2025 charities and associations reflect the compassion, inclusion and community values of our teams around the world.
As we move forward into a new year, giving back will continue to be part of how we define success at 5Y Technology.
